What will I learn from attending the retreat?
The weekend involves large-group sessions, small break-out groups, and individual work. We strive to create a safe environment where you can boldly challenge the negative messages tattoed on your hearts and feeling emotions you may have been suppressing. Participants are invited to allow themselves to be seen, cared for, and supported as they step into the arena of heart work and healing.
The retreat uses experiential learning rather than a lecture. This helps you fully participate in the learning rather than having information passively shared.

During the retreat, we explore attachment wounds (Loss, Rejection, Abandonment, Neglect, Betrayal, or Abuse) and how we developed negative core beliefs that impact our ability to feel joy, happiness, and peace. We explore how shame hijacks our lives. We identify how not feeling enough, powerless, or alone impacts our ability to reach the goals and desires we have in our lives.
Why was the Finding Peace Retreat created?
Although the Finding Peace workbook has been a life-saver for many readers, many have asked for a program that goes deeper into Finding Peace. During the retreat, you will explore your core emotions and face the shadows of shame that hijack your happiness. The Finding Peace Retreat is based on over 20 years of best-practice research including self-compassion, neuro-science, and shame. You will leave the retreat connecting with empowering new beliefs and a plan to help you maintain your progress after the retreat is over. One of the most powerful ways of healing attachment wounds is through connection. A valuable element of the retreat is the ability to connect with other people who can relate with your attachment wounds. These individuals will inspire you and you will inspire them. And perhaps, you will make connections that can last a lifetime.
What is the schedule during the retreat?
The retreat starts at 5:30 pm on the first day. The retreat is not like a traditional conference. The training is experiential, meaning that you will be engaged in learning activites from the moment you arrive. We are wanting you to have as much time to understand the process as possible.
We begin most mornings at 7 am and some nights will go as late as 9 pm.
We end at noon on the last day.
We are about 2 hours from the Phoenix Airport, so if you are traveling from out of state, please plan accordingly.
Is there a discount?
Will meals and sleeping accommodations be provided?
Yes. Meals and snacks will be provided starting on the second day of the retreat. (Please plan to eat dinner before arriving on Wednesday).
Our last meal will be breakfast on the final morning of the retreat.
Sleeping accomodations are in bunk-style cabins.
Is taking video or pictures allowed during the retreat?
No. We want to help maintain confidentiality during the retreat. There will be time after the event for individuals to take pictures with those who consent to have their picture taken. No part of the retreat will be recorded. In addiction, The Finding Peace Retreat is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws, therefore recording the event in any fashion without written permission is prohibted.
In addition, the training materials you receive are also protected by copyright and other laws. Please do not share the materials with others whether in person or online.
How are the facilities?
There are separate cabins for men and women. The cabins contain showers and flushing toilets. There are refrigerators available to store any special food you might have.
What if I want to attend, but I just don't have the funds right now?
Many people have used their creativity to find the funds such as crowdfunding, asking family and friends, fund raising, or opening a line of credit. We do offer a small number of scholarships. If you would like more information, click the “register now” button above.
