Empathy Intensive For Men

Bridge the Divide | Hold Space | Resolve Conflict | Build Trust

Space is extremely limited!

All men are sabotaged by Shadows of Shame who spew lies that can invite the man to disconnect from his core truth and hijack his ability to connect with the people he loves.

Compassion, empathy, and love are the real pillars we need to build within ourselves to become human.

– Loknath

Empathy is not only a nice-to-have but the glue and accelerant for business transformation in the next era of business. Empathy’s ability to create a culture of trust and innovation is unmatched, and this previously overlooked trait must be at the forefront of [every relationship and] business across all industries.

– Steve Payne

There’s a better way…

Empathy is a brain-based skill that lights up our own pain centers in the brain when we see someone else getting hurt.

Remember that last time you saw another man get hit in the balls. Did you cringe in pain along with him? That was emotional resonance lighting up in your brain. Emotional Resonance is a key element in our ability to experience empathy.

Our pre-frontal cortex also plays a huge role in helping us with empathy. It helps us put words to what we are feeling. It also helps us become grounded in the face of high emotion. It is a key component of emotional intelligence that helps us make sense of the suffering and develop soothing strategies to calm the hurt.

And because these are brain-based operations, that means you have the ability how to access these parts of your brain and change the neurochemistry of your brain with amazing results.

WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM THE INTENSIVE?

Do any of these apply to you?

These are signs of someone lacking solid empathy skills. If you checked even one of these boxes, contemplate how much this impacts your love life, your relationship with your family and friends, your career, and your own sense of worth.

to identify what others are feeling.

usually on edge and can become agitated fairly easily.

say things that come across as dismissive or hurtful even when that wasn’t my intent.

I am

REALLY good at giving advice and telling others how they can solve the problems in their life.

TESTIMONIALS

The entire approach and delivery that Troy put together made it very easy for me to open up and participate. In addition, the other participants fit right in and we had great chemistry. The Star Exercise made me fully understand the pain and suffering I put on my partner. I realize it can no longer be about me if I truly want to help. If you are considering coming, I’d say, take a risk, put your fear aside, and trust the process.

With a smaller group, it felt like personalized work that I would have to pay a lot more for. The intensive gave me so much information and practice in a short time. Before coming, I was oblivious to my bad habits and ineffective behaviors. Having them exposed and addressed is transformative. I know better therefore I can do better. If you are wondering about investing in yourself by coming to this intensive, take the step forward to make yourself, your relationships, and your world a kinder, and more empathic place to live in and with. This experience was priceless and I’m a better man for it. Take the chance for yourself, because if not now, when?

– Rafael, California

Coming to the Empathy Intensive helped me connect with my shadows of shame in a real and tangible way. My biggest takeaway was I discovered my needs and that I am ok.

– Nicholas Douglas, Arizona

The activities allowed me to make connections with other participants and feel safe. This allowed me to practice the skills I am learning without judgment. I also appreciated the continual interactive material and therapeutic tools I learned.  I think that something that was really amazing for me is the material that helped me see my self-worth and capabilities as I face personal struggles and challenging situations in my life.

FAQ

How is this different than the Finding Peace Retreat?

The Finding Peace Retreat is an experiential educational experience with a much larger group of participants (anywhere from 15 -24). It is a beautifully choreographed experience out in nature. Attending the Finding Peace Retreat is like being immersed in the magical sounds of a symphony orchestra. There are at least 8 staff members to provide support while are led on the Hero’s Journey and have some remarkably wonderful experiences based on the work found within the Amazon Best-Selling Finding Peace Workbook. The objective of the Retreat is to help participants let go of the pain from the past, experience more joy in the present, be able to hope for more peace in the future, and to connect with their Core Truth within.

The Finding Peace Retreat is also a Co-ed Event. This is done purposely because we have discovered that individuals have gained a lot of insight and compassion for those of the opposite gender, which in turn helps the participant have better understanding for family members back home.

The Empathy Intensive is more like listening to a string quartet. It is MUCH more intimate so more personalized and exclusive attention can be given to you by Troy L. Love. (There are only 8 spaces available.)

The objectives for the Intensive focus primarily on increase your capacity for empathy. The activities at the intensive are different from what takes place at the retreat. In fact, individuals who have attended the Finding Peace Retreat, a Finding Peace study group, or a Healing from Attachment Wounds would be better prepared for what takes place during the Intensive. Although attending one of these other events is not a pre-requisite, it would be helpful for participants to have some familiarity with the Finding Peace model.

This event is specifically designed for men only.

What will I learn by attending the Intensive?

The intensive uses interactive and experiential learning rather than lecture. During the event, we explore attachment wounds (Loss, Rejection, Abandonment, Neglect, Betrayal, or Abuse), how we developed negative core beliefs that impact our ability to feel joy, happiness, and peace. We explore how shame hijacks our lives. We identify how not feeling enough, powerless, or alone impacts our ability to reach the goals and desires we have in our lives.

Interactive processes include:

Journaling

Visualizations or “guided imagery”

Meditation

Affirmations

Inner-child affirmation and healing work

Emotional processing

I have health insurance. Will my insurance cover this?

Insurance providers do not cover the cost of retreats or intensives. Insurance companies require their members to have a diagnosis in order to cover services provided. We do not do a formal diagnostic assessment for our participants. Even if you have been diagnosed by another health care provider, we cannot ethically endorse this diagnosis without completing our own comprehensive evaluation and there is not enough time for this to take place.

Due to the lack of a diagnosis, we are also unable to provide you with at Superbill. A superbill requires a procedure code and a diagnosis to be included. There are no acceptable procedure codes that would fit into any insurance-acceptable category.

Some partipants have used their Health Savings Account to cover the cost of the intensive. However, in general, HSAs use the same criteria as insurance companies to approve payment. You may want to verify with your HSA whether this event can be covered.
